        | The morning of April 23 dawned with rain but that didn’t dampen the spirit or fun of the spring cruise.  Club members who came out to cruise were: Frank and Bev (in late model pickup complete with some rust spots); Butch and Sissy in “Reddawg”; JR and Joanne in their ’72 Chevelle; Jim and Linda in her ’63 Olds convertible; Frank and Alice in their vintage truck; Richard and Julie in their 2013 ‘vette; and John and Janet in their ’57 Chevy.     |

        | By 9:00 am, the rain had stopped and it was overcast, but no more rain!  Upon our arrival the Pennsylvania National Fire Museum in Harrisburg, we were greeted by sunshine and our enthusiastic host, Dan.  The museum itself is housed in a restored 19th century firehouse.  It contained some fantastic examples of old fire apparatus and many interesting other fire related items and interactive exhibits.  Dan demonstrated the Gamewell alarm headquarters housed on the second floor of the museum.  After we finished the tour, it was our turn to show off our cars/truck.  Dan was really impressed with our vehicles and we, of course, were only too willing to talk about our babies!

        | We arrived at the Appalachian Brewing Company for lunch later than expected so we missed the tour of the microbrewery.  However, the food was great and everyone seemed to enjoy the pubhouse.  It was fun watching JR wrap his mouth around a mile high sandwich – well done, JR!After lunch, the group decided to save the trip to the National Civil War Museum for another day.  As we prepared to head home, everyone agreed it was a great trip.  Yes Frank, we can go back to the museum again!
