Silver Diner Cruise In Sept 3, 2017 On a beautiful Sunday on Labor Day weekend, HMCCC hosted the Silver Diner Cruise In. We had 46 cars & trucks at the event and in advance we had decided that all proceeds from the 50/50 would be donated to Hurricane Harvey disaster relief. We also set out several buckets asking for donations.

Many thanks to JR and Joanne who generously donated $500 and to Brenda Unglesbee who generously donated $250.

$170 was won by John & Janet in the 50/50 and of that, they gave $10 to the boy who pulled their ticket. Then they donated their winnings back to the Hurricane Harvey relief fund and the boy donated his $10 back to the fund. Since HMCCC's portion of $170 was for the fund, that meant an additional $340 for Hurricane Harvey disaster relief.

Then when we counted the money in the donation buckets, we had another $184 to add to the fund, making our total $1,274.00.

What a generous and wonderful group of car lovers!!!

Many thanks to Silver Diner - they are always so happy to see us and they gave us 14 certificates for free entrees which we used as door prizes. This made a lot of folks happy and hopefully garnered Silver Diner some new customers!
