Saturday, May 17—Spring Cruise, chaired by Marsha Z. We will meet at Food Lion in New Market on Route 144 at 9:30 and plan to leave by 10:00. We will cruise and tour the covered bridges of Frederick County, have a light lunch and then have dinner at 4:30 – 5:00 at Hickory Bridge Farm Restaurant (www.hickorybridgefarm.com) in Orrtanna, PA. May 18—14th Annual Chevy Lovers Picnic hosted by Mid-Atlantic Nomad Association and Baltimore’s Best Classic Chevy at North East Community Park, North East, MD. 11 am–4 pm, rain or shine. Info: 302-658-4987 or 410-876-8898. There are two grills, bring a meat to cook, a dish to pass, lawn chairs, drinks (no alcohol permitted) or your own picnic lunch. Charcoal, plates, utensils and napkins will be provided. Even on a warm day it’s a good idea to bring a jacket since the park’s near the Chesapeake Bay and it tends to be chilly.

Each room has a refrigerator & coffee maker (bring you own or purchase kits at desk; free coffee off Lobby). Don't forget to register for the show!! You must be pre-registered to attend the free cook-out on Saturday night.
We have a group of members leaving on Friday, June 6. We will meet at the Mt. Airy Burger King on Rte. 27 at 9 am and plan to leave Burger King no later than 9:15. Please be on time and gassed up and ready to roll. From Mt. Airy, we will head East on Rte. 70 to South on Rte. 32, then on to the Bay Bridge. We'll pick up members as we go. Please remember your CB or your Family Talk radio if you have one! We won't be able to check into the FSK Motel until afternoon, so we can take our time, stop for lunch and ice cream and enjoy the cruise!
The FSK Motel is located on Rte. 50 just outside of Ocean City and across from the White Marlin Mall. While being close to downtown OC, this location offers a quiet setting with room for the show cars. There are still rooms available at the FSK if you haven't made your reservations! FSK - 1-800-213-0088. The show is open to all Chevys from 1955-1972, and registration includes a Saturday evening BBQ.

July 2–6—CCI 34th International Convention, Rocky Hill (Hartford), CT. Hosted by Connecticut Classic Chevy. Open to all 1955-72 Chevrolets and 1967-2002 Camaros. We plan to leave Tuesday, July 1 and arrive that afternoon and return home on Sunday, July 6. Planning to attend so far: the Riggs, the Zimmermans, the Rileys, the Steins, the Garmans, the Meclers, the Smiths, the Floods. If you have not made reservations at the host hotel, it is sold out. Friday, July 11—Celebrate Damascus Kick Off Parade! Starting at 7pm at Damascus High School (Line Up at 6:00). Heading down Rte. 27 to the Damascus Volunteer Fire Dept Carnival Grounds on Lewis Drive. Community Groups, Local Businesses, Tractors, Fire Engines, Classic Cars, Bands and more will join together in a Parade to the Damascus Volunteer Fire Dept. Carnival Grounds on Lewis Drive to kick off our annual Celebration of Damascus! Participants should pre-register for the parade by contacting Tammy Newman at 301-253-3464. First 200 registered cruisers get a dash plaque and goodie bag. Other activities include oldies music, raffles, games, food, community flea market and more. Sunday, July 20—Elvis; All Shook Up at Toby’s Dinner Theater in Columbia. We have paid the $200 deposit for Elvis – All Shook Up. Rich Hoff is coordinating this. The cost is $36.50 per person and that includes brunch, the show and tip. Please sign up by May 15. Payment must be made by June 1. Doors open at 10:30 with brunch served from 10:45 to 11:50. The show begins at 12:30.

October 25 & 26—Fall Cruise to Staunton, VA –it’s been a while since we’ve cruised down that way! Peggy Late, Linda R., Marsha and Sissy will work on this. We’ll be staying at Wattstull Motel, www.wattstullinn.net and we’ve blocked 15 rooms at $62 plus tax.
