Heart of Maryland Classic Chevy Club
is a not for profit organization formed in March, 1993 to establish
an association of members for the purpose of encouraging restoration,
preservation and enjoyment of 1955 through 1957 Chevrolet automobiles,
including trucks and Corvettes. Our
dues are $20.00 annually – due in January of each year. Heart of Maryland
Classic Chevy Club is incorporated in the State of The members of Heart of Maryland Classic Chevy Club
host several car and truck shows every year, including Celebrate Damascus
Cruise-In at Damascus Chevrolet in July, and the Alzheimers Association
Benefit Car & Truck Show at Frederick MVA each September. In June 1997, Heart of Maryland Classic Chevy
Club hosted the first unjudged convention for Classic Chevy International
at the Urbana Carnival Grounds south of In 1998, 2001 and 2005, Heart of Maryland Classic Chevy
Club earned runner-up in the Eastern Division of the prestigious
Golden Rule Award presented by Eagle One Products. In 2007, Heart of Maryland was named the winner
in the Eastern Division. In 2001,
Heart of Maryland Classic Chevy Club was named a Hobby Hero by Hemmings Motor News. These national awards were presented in recognition
of our community service, donations and promotion of the vintage car
hobby. Every show or cruise-in hosted by Heart of Maryland Classic
Chevy Club is a family event, and participation of the members’
whole family is encouraged. Net
proceeds from our Alzheimers Association Benefit Car & Truck Show
have amounted to over $152,500 in fifteen years. This
fun show features activities for children and a spirited auction as
well as oldies music and the show, which attracts cars and trucks of
all makes. We support many local and regional charities
with proceeds from our fund-raising activities. Heart of Maryland Classic Chevy Club
meets the second Tuesday of each month, with special meetings called
as necessary. Our meetings are
usually held at the offices of Frall Developers, Inc., We publish a monthly newsletter for members with a review of
past events, upcoming events, conventions, shows and cruises, items
for sale, and member news. Member
contributions to the newsletter are appreciated and encouraged.
